Please arrive clean and refreshed ready for your waxing service.
Please exfoliate your skin 24 hours prior to waxing and in between waxes. We highly recommend regular use of Ruff Stuff Daily Body Scrub, which is available to buy at your appointment and also from our online shop. This can be used on all areas of the body in between treatments to help the new hair growth emerge from the hair follicles without getting trapped under the skin, reducing the chance of ingrown hairs.
Please ensure hair to be waxed is a minimum 0.5 - 1 cm in length to ensure best results (length of a grain of rice) Approximately 3-4 weeks growth minimum is best.
Intimate Waxing
For all our intimate waxing treatments we use Outback Organics peelable wax to remove all unwanted hair as quickly, effectively and painlessly as possible. The wax shrink wraps the hair and removes it from the root to give a lovely smooth long-lasting finish.

Shaving cuts the hair bluntly at the skin's surface leaving the hair feeling sharp, rough and prickly as it grows and this is as soon as the day after shaving. This can cause itching and irritation to the skin, and the hairs also look thicker. The area will need shaving again to feel smooth leaving you in a daily cycle of shaving and irritation.
When hair is removed with wax, the entire hair and root is removed from the hair follicle, and the brand new hairs that regrows from the follicle will have a pointed, more tapered end as it emerges from the skin. The new hair growth feels soft and fluffy and is less dense.
The hair growth cycle.
The hair growth cycle consists of Anagen (active growing phase), Catagen (transition phase), Telogen (resting phase) and Exogen (shedding phase) and each hair follicle goes through these stages independently.
For the first 3-4 waxes we recommend follow-up waxes at 4-5 weekly intervals to get all the hairs into the same hair growth cycle. Once the hair growth cycle is synchronised, we can lengthen the time in-between appointments to 5-6 weekly intervals to give a longer-lasting, smoother result.
We can wax during a period, this is not a problem. Tampon strings can be tucked away so as not to interfere with the waxing process. If you are not comfortable with waxing during a period we can arrange appointments around your dates to suit.
